The Victorian Government committed $1.8 million for Victoria’s Needle and Syringe Program as part of the Ice Action Plan.

The $1.8 million includes one-off grants for the 20 busiest Needle and Syringe Programs to expand after hours services, and funding for part-time staff at eight secondary locations to reduce harm for injecting ice users.

The funding will help to reduce harm for injecting ice users, and the community by preventing the spread of blood-borne viruses and providing important health information and referrals.
